"Hallo (German), Bonjour (French), Moien (Luxembourgish)"(11) We went to Luxembourg this winter, it was an amazing place.Luxembourg is actually a very interesting place. While it is very small it is still packed with fun(like Zain). While flying there we noticed that Luxembourg is located southeast of Belgium, southwest of Germany, and north of France(1).While visiting the country we went through many interesting cities such as Dudelange, Escch-sur-Alzette, and Luxembourg city, the capital, which are all major cities. (2).We picked up on many interesting cultural aspects of the country. For example we learned that the majority of the people there are Christians(3).We also noticed that the people of Luxembourg have the highest standards of living(4).We traveled all over the country to both the south and north of it and noticed some differences. The southern 2/3 of the country which is flat and it is called "Gut Land"(5).The other 1/3 of the country in the north is called "Oesling". (6)We visited many cool places including the Luxembourg Gardens which is a garden that was taken and fenced under human control, this is a great example of how people in Luxembourg interacted with their environment(7).To get around we, like majority of the people in Luxembourg used cars as transportation(8). Luxembourg has the highest density of motorways in Europe and their main transportation is cars.We also learned about a really cool and interesting historical event which was the revolt of the seventeen provinces against the political and religious hegemony of Phillip II of Spain(9).The people in Luxembourg told us of one of the famous people in Luxembourg, Benjamin Lasneir, who is a Youtuber that has a channel with around 100 thousand subscribers which is 1/5 of Luxembourg(10).We were also told stories about how they celebrated their annual holiday in Luxembourg which is The Grand Duke's official birthday. The holiday is on 23 of June(12).We enjoyed a typical meal in Luxembourg called "Pate", a spreadable paste usually made of meat but a vegetarian version exists for all the animal lovers out there(13).People in Luxembourg spend their time watching T.V. For example, "Come Back" is a famous series in Luxembourg. Along with watching tv many of them also hike and cycle(14).As said earlier we visited many places including "Bock",which is a fort in the north-eastern corner of Luxembourg City's old historical district, and it was built in 1719. (15)A cultural place that we visited is "The Luxembourg City Museum", it illustratesthe thousand-year history of Luxembourg and was founded in 1996(16).A religious place that we visited is the "Notre-dame cathedral, it was originally a Jesuit church. It was laid in 1613 and it is the only cathedral in Luxembourg(17). We also visited the "Wiltz" which is a river that flows through Luxemborg and Belguim. It is 42 Km long. (18)A cool place that we went to is George Christien's restaurant, he holds the world record for carrying a table with his mouth 10 meters the fastest of anyone else(19). We went during the winter and we packed coats, jackets, and general clothing for the cold weather. When we asked some of the people in Luxembourg we were told that the temperature in Luxembourg throughout the year varies from 30 degrees F to 74 degrees F. (20) We hope you all enjoyed reading of our experience! "Freilos (German), Au revoir (French)" (11)
